Crouch Hill House

This refurbishment of a terrace Edwardian House in Coruch End conservation area replaced an existing poor-quality site return extension, upgraded the existing front dormer and introduced a small dormer with frameless glazed roof att the rear. The works included upgrading the thermal envelope and re-arranging the ground floor of the property, to create a new large kitchen and dining area overlooking the garden. A large skylight brings light from the top into the centre of the house.  Externally, the ground floor extension is constructed using similar red brick to that of the existing house, but using contemporary detailing.  Internally, a reduced palette of whitewashed walls, oak floor boards and joinery has been used throughout the house with Cararra marbe used in bathrooms and for the kitchen work surfaces, providing a simple and functional aesthetic.
